This week, I completed my proposal for my original work. I spent time researching different ares of question for obtetrics. I found that infertility is one of the largest things plaguing the feild and keeps many women from wanting to start a family. I decided to look into what are the main ways to see if you are infertile and found that many websites either give reason why you might be or there are other research papers explaining new finding. Nothing seemed to put all this information together to fit a women specifically. I wanted to see if there is a way I can create a quiz type of thing that women can easily fill out to put all these aspects together to tell her how fertile she may likely be. Of course they would still have to see a fertility specialist but I think it's a good way to get a start on looking into conception.
This was really fun because it was one of the first assessment type research I had to do for the field of obstetrics and gynecology and I really enjoyed learning about it. Although this is a big project and I'm going to have to do a lot of work to bring it into fruition, I am prepared to devote much of my time towards it. Think week I want to do,in total, 4 hours of extra research time dedicated to my original work.
